4th out of 5 teams with 108 points and a 21:10 average!
Nine out of eleven personal bests in the JV race is tremendous. ER had a season best and SP was really close to a best as well. Gotta give a huge shout out to BIG BRAD today, for your performance was just awesome. Congrats! The trio of DM, NM, TP rocked it again and crushed 22. You are fun to watch. JG rocked a huge PR as did MoRay. Nice PR Tom. GB, you have grit! Way to go, AB.
Life is peaks and valleys. Running is peaks and valleys. There is nothing easy about racing and racing at your best. It is difficult to run a personal best every time out. We strive to improve and drop times so we can be competitive during the championship phase, but there is no guarantee we will be rewarded with life time bests. That doesn’t mean we doubt ourselves or the path we have chosen. It doesn’t mean we lose confidence in ourselves or each other. We focus on enduring and trying to achieve our goals until the very end. Maintaining a positive attitude is easy when things go well. It is more difficult to keep when in the valleys, when we don’t have great performances. It is in the valley when we are being tested that we must be at our strongest mentally. Having a strong will and the determination to ascend from the valley and reach the peaks we seek is what this is all about. We have it within us to overcome setbacks and perform at a high level.
A 14 year old once told me, “Go forth with a positive attitude and you will be unstoppable, unconquerable and unbeatable.”
